Tiger Resource Room Opens at Grambling State University
It’s no secret college can be tough. Whether you’re staying up way too late studying (or let’s be honest, cramming) for a big exam, or purchasing an outrageously expensive text book (or two, or three or four!), we know it can be stressful.
We also know that sometimes a little help can go a long way. That’s why we’re opening our newest resource room – stocked with food items, toiletries, school supplies, and of course, hand sanitizer – at Grambling State University.
With help from our friends at the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana, this brand-new, one-of-a-kind Tiger Resource Room is now open and will provide nutritious food, free of charge, and is available to students across the Grambling State University campus.
Decked out with Whataburger and Grambling State University memorabilia, students can find perishable and non-perishable food items including canned goods and dairy products, along with toiletries and other every day essentials. You’ll also find Whataburger-branded school supplies like backpacks and pens.
Grambling State University is the first HBCU to have a room like this outside of Texas, and it’s also the first HBCU partner of the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana.
We can’t wait to welcome our #GramFam to this new, one-of-a-kind Tiger Resource Room. Go Tigers!
