Looking for the next title on your kid’s summer reading list? Whataburger has you covered.

Starring The Spurs Coyote, this free digital book is available in English and Spanish

As kids everywhere adjust to recent changes in our communities, The Spurs and Whataburger are here to help families talk about what’s important.

That’s why Spurs Give, the official 501c3 nonprofit organization of Spurs Sports and Entertainment, and Whataburger are releasing a free digital children’s book, “The Coyote Family Stays Home!”

The new illustrated book, starring (who else?) The Spurs Coyote, can help children understand and come to terms with COVID-19. Best of all, it’s free to download in both English and Spanish at spursgive.org/reading.

Aimed at young kids, “The Coyote Family Stays Home!” highlights the power of togetherness during emotional times and teaches preventive measures to help kids stay safe and informed.

It’s all part of the Summer What’cha Reading Challenge, presented by Whataburger, a new program that encourages students to read at least five books between June 15-July 13. Children can fill out the five titles at spursgive.org/reading for a chance to win prizes, including autographed Spurs memorabilia, Whataburger for a year, and fun Coyote prize packs.

“Whataburger is honored to partner with the Spurs on this wonderful effort,” said Pam Cox, Whataburger Vice President of Human Resources and Brand Communication. “We hope the book will be a helpful resource and a way to bring families closer together during this time.”
