Making Every Meal Matter This April: Whataburger Partners with Gratitude Initiative
This April, Whataburger is proud to recognize the more than 1.6 million military-connected youth across the country during the Month of the Military Child. In partnership with Gratitude Initiative, the brand is inviting guests to support military teens through a nationwide fundraiser focused on education and opportunity.
From April 1 through April 30, guests can donate $1 at checkout at participating Whataburger locations. Donations can be made in the dining room or drive-thru. As a thank-you, guests will receive a coupon for a free Whataburger with the purchase of a medium fry and medium drink on their next visit.
Proceeds from the campaign directly support Gratitude Initiative’s programs, which provide college readiness support, mentorship, and scholarships for military-connected students. These resources are designed to help students successfully transition to college, build career pathways, and navigate the unique challenges that come with military family life.

Over the past two years, this campaign has raised more than $600,000, helping enroll over 650 students in Gratitude Initiative’s College Success Academy and providing thousands of dollars in scholarships.
By giving just $1, guests can play a part in supporting the educational goals of military teens nationwide, helping ensure they have the tools and support needed to succeed in college, career, and beyond.
