Operating Partner Gerardo Armendariz's career journey began in earnest when a mentor told him she saw potential — and that if he gave her six months, he'd be ready for his own restaurant. She was true to her word, and by 19, he was ready to step into that leadership role.

This year, he was recognized out of more than a thousand of his peers as the Founder's Award Winner for the leadership he shows in his Katy, Texas, restaurant and beyond. Congratulations, Gerardo!
