Dec. 28, 2020 – Whataburger’s long-requested Spicy Chicken Sandwich was such a hit when we introduced it in September, we’ve decided to keep it around a little longer. And now it’s even better (if that’s even possible!). The sandwich, described by some as “spice that builds,” now comes standard on a new brioche bun.
The reviews are in, and we can confidently say that this sandwich is a winner! We’re keeping everything you know and love about the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, but taking things up a notch with our new brioche bun.
The sandwich starts with a perfectly marinated, crispy chicken filet, topped with fresh, cool leaf lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayo.
“Spicy chicken is a trend we love and one our customers have really embraced – that’s why we decided to keep the sandwich on the menu a little while longer,” said Whataburger Vice President of Marketing and Innovation Rich Scheffler. “But this time, it’s even better, complete with a new brioche bun.
