Whataburger is bringing its famous bold flavors and orange-and-white striped fun to the Springfield area with its first area restaurant opening on Monday, Dec. 12, 11 a.m. at 1371 U.S. Highway 60, Republic, Mo., 65738

Whataburger plans to open four additional Springfield-area restaurants in 2023 at:

• 3880 W. Sunshine, Springfield, Mo. 65807
• 2355 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield, Mo. 65803
• 401 N. Eastgate Ave., Springfield, Mo. 65802

With Operating Partner Sean Tamez at the helm, the Whataburger team of more than 100 Republic employees, who we call Family Members, is ready to serve the community 24/7.

The restaurant honors Whataburger’s storied history while looking to the future with a forward-thinking design including double drive-thru lanes and digital menu boards to best serve guests. There’s also a custom interior mural featuring hometown landmarks. 

The restaurant will open with drive-thru service only, with plans to roll out additional services options including dining room access, ordering via the Whataburger App and Whataburger.com, curbside and delivery in the coming weeks. 

Whataburger is hiring Operating Partners, managers, team leaders and team members to deliver the extraordinary hospitality for which its famous. Whataburger Managers can earn up to $55,000, with opportunities to be promoted to Operating Partner and above-store leadership roles through a best-in-class training program. Operating Partners can earn six-figure salaries through a combination of base pay and bonus.
