September 2, 2019 -- DALLAS – For the first time, Whataburger is partnering with Coach to Cure MD and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy to raise money in more than 170 restaurants across the DFW metroplex to help establish a Certified Duchenne Care Center in North Texas.

From Monday, Sept. 2 at 3 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m., customers who donate $1 or more to this cause at any of the 170 Whataburger locations across DFW will receive a thank-you coupon for a free Whataburger with purchase of a medium fry and 32-ounce drink.

“Coach to Cure MD is driving awareness of this degenerative genetic disorder and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy and Dallas Children’s Hospital are leading the way to better care for the affected young men,” said Whataburger Divisional Vice President, Restaurant Operations, Mark Brown. “We’re honored to be partnering with them and supporting their efforts to improve care and end Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.”

Proceeds will go to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy’s drive to establish a certified Duchenne Care Center right here in the metroplex. This center will help our own friends and neighbors affected by this disorder in North Texas and beyond.
