Whataburger Partners with Atlanta Community Food Bank to Support Students and Families
As families prepare for a new school year, the loss of access to school meals during the summer can create additional challenges for households facing food insecurity. In July, Whataburger partnered with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to help address those needs through a Mobile Food Pantry at Brumby Elementary School in Marietta, Georgia.
The activation provided approximately 10,000 pounds of food to 191 households, including 389 children. Families also received school supplies and meals, helping ease the transition back to the classroom.
Whataburger brought its Food Truck to the event to serve fresh meals to families and volunteers, while community partners helped connect families with essential resources ahead of the school year.
Whataburger invested $12,000 in the activation as part of its ongoing commitment to Feeding Student Success, an initiative focused on helping students and families access resources that support their success. Through partnerships with organizations like the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Whataburger helps address immediate community needs while supporting students beyond the classroom.
The activation reflects the impact local partnerships can have in bringing essential resources directly to families, particularly during critical transitions like the start of a new school year.
Through Feeding Student Success, Whataburger continues working with community partners to help students and families access the food and resources they need to thrive.
