Nine Kansas City-area restaurants planned for this year

March 3, 2022 Whataburger is coming to the state of Kansas! A restaurant opening at 8420 W 135th St in Overland Park on Monday, March 7, at 11 a.m. will be the first in the state.

The new restaurant will be the third Whataburger in the Kansas City area, following openings last year in Lee’s Summit and Independence, Missouri. It’s the first of nine area restaurants that Whataburger and its franchise partner KMO Burger plan to open this year.
