Whataburger’s #WhatabigIdeaContest

May 7, 2018 -- Calling all students! The best time of your life is about to get even better.

Whataburger is hosting a scholarship contest to find the next big, world-changing idea and will reward nine college students with the best submissions.

Whether you’re planning to spend the summer getting ready for your first semester, enjoying your favorite college town or getting a head start on classes, Whataburger wants to help cover some of your college costs.

If you’re super creative and think you have the next big idea to make the world a better place, submit it using #WhatabigIdeaContest for the chance to win as much as a $5,000 scholarship. Plus, Whatasize your idea and you might just win the ultimate Whataburger prize: free Whataburger for College – a free Whataburger each week for four years.

Three Scholarships

Choose from three categories and enter as much as you want before May 31. Time to hone your creativity and start submitting!

Entering is simple:

Video

  • Create a video (a minute and a half or less) about your big idea
  • Prize includes $5,000 scholarship and Whataburger for College
  • Entry must include your name and the state where you attended high school or college in the spring of 2018

Photo

  • Capture a photo or create a piece of artwork that represents your big idea
  • Prize includes $1,000 scholarship
  • Entry must include your name and the state where you attended high school or college in the spring of 2018

Post

  • Publish a post (280 characters or less) about your big idea on social media
  • Prize includes $500 scholarship
  • Entry must include your name and the state where you attended high school or college in the spring of 2018

Three Regions

One winner from each category will be selected from each of Whataburger’s three regions below. We will award a total of $20,000 in total prizes to nine winners from the regions listed below.

  • Texas
  • Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi
  • Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma
