Is this your first rodeo? Saddle up for Texas-sized fun

It’s no bull, pardner. You’re sure to find a good time at a Lone Star stock show and rodeo.

Saddle up! Whataburger is a proud stock show and rodeo sponsor in all of our markets.

Think rodeo’s not your cup of cowboy coffee? Think again. There’s more to it than bucking broncos, barrel racing and steer roping. Ready to hit the scene?

Rodeo is a year-round sport for us. From the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo to the Tucson Rodeo ... Whataburger is proud to help support these hometown celebrations, particularly the efforts of the Texas HIgh School Rodeo Association and Texas Junior High Rodeo Association running September to June every year.

Dress to impress

Dress the part – and throw in some Whataburger, to boot – with our oh-so-Texan Boot Tee.

Or, make your Lone Star statement in our Texas Treasure Tee. For more options for the whole family, head on over to the #Whatastore. Because that's the only place to find these custom Justin Boots featuring the Whataburger logo.

Sounds of music

After the horses and steers have been put to bed, rodeo arenas are ready to jam. Concert lineups feature big names in country music, hip-hop, norteño, rock ’n’ roll and even standup comedy.

Where there’s a Whataburger outlet on the grounds, grab some Whatachick’n Strips – with extra gravy, of course – and enjoy the show.

Hoof it over to the barns

At the show barns, you can get a gander at the cows, pigs and other livestock raised by hard-working students. The animals eventually will be auctioned off, and not for chicken feed.

A grand-champion steer often brings more than $100,000, with the proceeds going toward the student’s college fund.

That’s entertainment

Looking for a little friendly competition? Cheer on your favorite porker in a pig race or watch arrows fly in an archery competition. You also might get to take in a stunt show or an extreme dog exhibition as you mosey around.

For adults only

Local craft beers and Texas-made wines are available to please the most discriminating palates. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo wine garden, for example, offers more than 70 wines.

The tap room at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo pours about 20 different Texas brews.
