Whataguy first appeared on kids meal bags and a games site in the summer of 1999. His mission is to protect freshness, flavor and the Whataburger Way!
These days, Whataguy is the ambassador for Whataburger Feeding Student Success, Whataburger’s signature community program at the intersection of food insecurity and education. He’s also often seen at restaurant and sporting events. As he has matured, his superpowers have grown, and Whataguy now can be at multiple locations at the same time!

Born in Texas and headquartered in San Antonio, we’re celebrating 76 flavorful years of big bites, bold flavors, and even bigger fan love. We’ve grown to over 1,100 restaurants across 17 states, with original-recipe products now found in grocery aisles across the country.
