Whataburger Community Connections
Meaningful connections in our communities are as essential to Whataburger as serving bold flavors and original recipes with a side of extraordinary hospitality.
Our signature community program, Feeding Student Success, focuses our charitable giving at the intersection of food insecurity and education through college resource rooms, scholarships and philanthropy. Since launching the program in 2020, we’ve given more than $5 million to support communities and students in need.
We support the communities where our Family Members live, work and play. We lift up diverse community leaders, organizations and underrepresented groups by supporting and showcasing their work. The Whataburger Museum of Art commissions Latino and Black artists to tell their stories and features their work on Whataburger social channels.
We build community from within by supporting the personal growth and success of our more than 51,000 employees, who we call Family Members, and their families. We celebrate the excellence of our diverse leadership in our own business by telling their stories of truth, power and pride. We put all Family Members on a career development track and sponsor Family Member Resource Groups for women, Black and Hispanic/Latino Family Members. Our employees and their family members have received more than $20 million in scholarships and emergency assistance from the Whataburger Family Foundation.
